CUB FAMILY CAMPOUT - 9?? 10-11 JAN “Service Hours” - CRAZY CAMPSITE (SEE BELOW).

FRIDAY  - No Planned Camping for Scouts Friday Night  (CAN STILL BE ARRANGED  if two or more are eager and a YPT trained parent is available — Contact SM Dr B or Mr Bill ASAP. 

Time for Scouts to use EDGE to teach Safe Camping Skills to Cubbies - Good Camp vs Crazy Bad Camp

MEET at WICKHAM PARK — ARRIVE Sat AM 8:00 am  for CORRECT CAMPING  SET-UP Tent etc.  

Small groups of Cubbies — rotation from 9:00 am thru 11:30

 10-15 min of DEMO /EDGE by Scouts - 10-15 min Q&A //

 

LUNCH BREAK 11:30 am to 1:00 pm // FOOD TRUCKS or PACK Your own LUNCH

 

CRAZY CAMPING - lots of things done wrong (Come with ideas / examples you have seen done wrong etc.)

ARRIVE 1:00 pm SET UP “Crazy” with Lots of “Rookie mistakes”

2:00 -4:30 Cubbies in small groups rotate - need to find and explain “errors” CRAZY mistakes etc. 

EXTRA EVENTS - Mr Bill available for HIKE / BIKE or BOTH during AM / PM sessions

OK to Bike / Hike during AM or PM session // Teach / Service hours to Cubbies AM or PM session.

Military type MRE to each Scout for Supper if camping Sat Night.

Need “Grubmaster“ for Sunday Breakfast. (Or optional local food source.

ANYONE working on FIRST AID MB can meet with me at Health Officer site for REAL WORLD First aid MB or advancement sign off and practice. (Blue Card) 

OTHER STUFF…

We need HIKES! - Mr Tim D. And Mr Bill are looking into a VERY COOL SITE along the Florida Trail.  Talk to SPL - PLC is interested in more than one event per month — SAME SITE / DATE and or DIFFERENT SITES / DATES.  


ALTERNATE and ADDITIONAL Troop or Patrol Event “options needed” to SPL / PLC / Mr. Bill  - consider 2 each month if enough support.  OK informal / Ad Hoc Patrols — BASIC Skills PLUS ADVANCED Skill can be the same weekend or different weekend.

(SPL / PLC are actively interested in this - please give suggestions to PL / SPL / ASPL.)

 

Need to reschedule  Gift wrap - with GLOVES !  (Mrs T. is diabolical !)

Perhaps at Court of Honor - while ADULTS meet?

TRAILER GEAR  & PATROL BOX - Inventory Update NEEDED via QM / PLC

 —> Inventory card begun - update each month

Basic Pots / Pans / Utensils list / Starter / Loaner box with Cups & Bowls. 

Cleaning Kit Inventory - Minimum items Scraper /Metal and Multi /two sided Scrubbers 

Expendables  checklist (purchase as needed after each event with TRAILER and WEEK BEFORE Event with TRAILER:

Soap / Bleach / Cooking Oil / Syrup / Propane / Water etc. 

Stove / Grill / other special items - based on the event activities.
