Review topics:

A.  “Don’t Die (lost) in the Woods.”  Compass / Trail Apps / Map and Compass / Whistle and other signal protocols. 

B.  “How to Shit in the Woods” (4th Edition is available in print or Kindle). How deep is too deep or too shallow. 

Begin SAFETY planning for Malabar Gun and Pistol “shooting event”. (GUN CLUB FORMS need to be completed).

ADULTS Cooking:  Dutch oven anyone?  Perhaps dessert by Scouts…

SM request for ADULT TRAINERS for GRUBMASTER // CAMP GADGETS / LASHINGS / MAP & COMPASS / TRAIL Apps

Patrol member updates - written updated list for all Patrol members. 

Brief ILST individual SM Conference done: Discussion  “Your Leadership position within the Patrol” Need an ASM to attend each Patrol Meeting - Mr Bill attending subsequent PLC.

Each Scout needs a Leadership assignment from the PL / SPL that they can learn from that benefits the both the Patrol / Troop and the individual Scout.

If the Scout already has all the skills needed in a Leadership position - consider moving to Instructor or Troop Guide as a Mentor.   

OLDER SCOUTS --> Talk to SPL - PL if you are interested in more than one event this month /any future month (Coordinate with Mr Bill) — OK SAME SITE / DATE and or DIFFERENT SITES / DATES.  


NEED -- ALTERNATE and ADDITIONAL Troop or Patrol Event “options needed” to SPL / PLC / Mr. Bill 

 - Snowboarding?  Sea Base? BACKPACK? BIKING? HIKING? FISHING ? SNORKLING / SCUBA? Other HIGH ADVENTURE? 

OK informal / Ad Hoc Patrols — BASIC Skills PLUS ADVANCED Skill can be the same weekend or different weekend.

(SPL / PLC are actively interested in “Higher skill” and “Early skill level” events.  - please give suggestions to PL / SPL / ASPL.)

 

TRAILER GEAR / PATROL BOXES  - Inventory sheet NEEDED via QM / PLC SPL - needs to designate TROOP QM ?  Or "Senior " Patrol QM 

 —> Inventory card begun (SM likes the David T. Method)  - update each month

DONATIONS for Good old gear/uniforms etc. 

Cleaning Kit Inventory - Minimum items: Scraper /Metal and Multi /two-sided Scrubbers 

Expendables  checklist (purchase as needed after each event) with TRAILER inspection at least one WEEK BEFORE Event:

Soap / Bleach / Cooking Oil / Syrup / Propane / Water etc.

Stove / Grill / other special items - based on the event activities. 

Do not forget the “Dry Goods Igloo” 

 

WISH LIST for TROOP GEAR:

NEW FLAG POLES (7or 8 foot to avoid Flag trim from dragging.) or Fringe free  Flag. 

(OR TALLER Flag Stands? (Sand leaking - needs repair / extra weight / thicker bottom?
